I empathize for the victim of the date rape drug incident which occured while partying at The Roxy in downtown Boston. I'm sure it was a frightening experience. That said, I am shocked that Harbus has decided to publish this "Year End Tragedy" side by side with a terrorist attack where well over 150 people were killed in a tragic rampage in the city of Mumbai. Let's not pretend that these events are at all comparable or even give the impression that they are by putting them under the same headline on the front page of a publication.

You are absolutely right in arguing that the scale, gruesomeness, and horror of the Mumbai attacks cannot be compared to a substance-related incident at a Boston night club. However, the primary purpose of the Harbus is to discuss issues of interest to the Harvard Business School community. The safety of our students is undeniably one such issue. Any incident that could have potentially grave consequences merits attention and vigilance. One good way to achieve this is through a front page article.

Thank you for your interest in the Harbus.

They should create very large penalties for people posessing any date rape drug. If these individuals only drank beverages from the nightclub, then they should sue the nightclub. It is resonable when buying a drink to expect not to be drugged with a date rape drug.
