Anne-Marie Slaughter? That morally preening posturing hypocrite? The woman who supported the Iraq war but now acts like she didn't? The woman contributing to both Obama and Clinton so she can get an office in one of their administrations? Disgusting.

Should we seek to keep the nation-state and to limit the erosion of nation-state sovereignty caused by globalization? Should we seek to promote local production for local consumption instead of promoting consolidation of the control over production and distribution into the hands of corporations promoting ever increasing trade? Is the noble goal of protecting human rights being ridden by those promoting elimination of nation-state control over human rights issues? To study these questions it helps to clearly define national sovereignty, and to help in this process I have developed the Jacobs Elements of Sovereignty, which may be found at http://globalities.blogspot.com Best regards, Ned Jacobs
