HBS Comes Out of the Closet

The most visible sign of this support came Thursday, October 11 from the hundreds of rainbow ribbons worn by HBS students as part of National Coming Out Day (NCOD), sponsored by the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Student Association (LGBTSA). Other activities of the day included an e-mail sent to all sections explaining the event and candy and information handed out during lunch at Spangler Grille. (0) comments

LGBT Club's Straight Ally Initiative

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Student Association is launching a new initiative to include the straight allies in its activities. Club leadership chose to launch this new initiative, after receiving feedback that the club lacked clear roles for straight allies. (0) comments

Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking

More than 100 students packed into Aldrich 108 in anticipation of learning something very different yet relevant to our everyday HBS life: confidence in public speaking. "Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking" is a bi-annual event sponsored by the HBS Public Speaking and Negotiation Club targeted at helping students to ease their anxieties of speaking in front of large audiences - one of the greatest fears students may face on a daily basis in our classrooms. RC Partner Wins Cyberposium 13 Logo Design Competition

The Cyberposium 13 marketing team held a design competition for the conference logo. Last week a group of 30 ECs taking the Real Property course toured the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences at the Prudential Center in downtown Boston. Visiting the construction site gave us the opportunity to get our shoes a little dirty, to see firsthand what real estate development is all about and to hear about the process from the contractors themselves.
